Scam Description
I was contacted by Toby for some work he wanted done to his property, he was going out of town while I would be remodeling his house. I asked for a deposit to be on the safe side. I get the deposit and he hands me a check, I go to the bank and that check goes through. Now he owed 3,500 when the job would be finished. I finish the job and he handed me a check so I go and try cashing it when it got charged back. I try contacting Toby, he doesn’t answer/text back. I went to the property. The people living in the house just moved there.
