Scam Description
I received an email from Steve Hanning about an event attendee list, which caught my interest. I reached out to him for more details, and we started exchanging emails. He eventually provided the attendee list and pricing information. He eventually sent me the details of the attendee list, and when I inquired about the pricing, he provided that information as well. Following our company’s standard procedure, we conducted a background check on Steve and his company, AI Discovery Labs. We discovered that AI Discovery Labs is registered in the United States, but its operations are based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, under Adlem Amina Ventures Private Limited (coordinates: 13°00’51″N 77°37’59″E). Further investigation into AI Discovery Labs and Adlem Amina Ventures Private Limited revealed that it is owned by Shakir Hussain Dar (https://in.linkedin.com/in/shakir-hussain-b81735106) who is from Bangalore, Karnataka, India and its CMO is Bibin B. (https://in.linkedin.com/in/bibin-b-08198711b), who is from Pathanamthitta, Kerala, India. Our investigation raised suspicions about this company, leading us to believe it may be involved in fraudulent activities. We intend to report a scam involving AI Discovery Labs to prevent other companies from falling victim to them.
