Scam Description
Earlier today I searched for a number to call RC and somehow I got a link to this number 888-666-9688, the person who answered did a very convincing job of acting like a RC employee. He informed me that I had some outstanding “port taxes” due and needed my credit card info. Since I thought I had called the right number I gave him not one, but two of my cards as the first one was blocked because Capital One knew it was a bogus charge and thankfully the second card was also capital one so it was blocked also.
Somehow he had the details of my name, who I am sailing with and my cruise details. I never gave that to him.
