Scam Description
Signed up for HBO MAX thru dish network. It only have me HBO channels, no max. So I downloaded the app thru Roku. It let me sign in but said it would not play on my tv and I needed to go www.hbomaxsignin.com, I went there and it said I needed to call this phone number. I called it and it was a man with an India accident. He told me to get it to play on my tv and play thru Amazon I had to go to Amazon and put this $50 gift card in my cart and it would send a code but was not charging me. I did this 3 times. Then he said I had to go thru a different sight since I did not remember my dish password. So he said go to GameStop.com and add this gift card to the cart. He then told me I needed to put in my debit card #. I said no. He said it’s not going to charge you. I hung up on him. Today we see $150 charged to my debit account thru Amazon for the gift cards. .
