Scam Description

I received multiple phone calls about fire wall, security services and technical support. I did pay for services in 2018 for one year, however after speaking with the person on the phone he said I was responsible for $10,000 in fees from 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. He then proceeded to state I needed to pay him immediately. I stated I was a senior citizen and unable to pay. He then “spoke to a manager” and reduced the amount to $1499. I stated I wanted to pay with a credit card he then said just write a check. The bill had to paid that day or I would be put into the hands of a collections agency and my credit destroyed. After submitting two different credit cards….both were rejected, I ask why and he said it was an overseas payment. I was coerced into writing a check and canceled any business with them.
