Scam Description
Business claims you can rent a unit online and get in to it with a code, all online. We sadly believed it, signed up paid our money then drove to life storage after hours of packing up our things. We showed up it was closed, I go to my email to get my code they said they would send and instead it says I need an ID check for my license (I gave my SSN online to them). We call the emergency customer service line where they said there was nothing they could do, we would have to see someone in person. So we asked if we could cancel the account with them since we had already paid and needed to find somewhere else to immediately store our things. They said no we would have to do that in person, even though all of this was supposed to not be in person. I am marking this as a scam because it is they advertise online 24 hours, complete everything online get a code and get into the storage unit. This is not the case at all, they are false advertising and now our things are under a tarp in the yard getting moisture damage.
