Scam Description
My son found a house to rent in Marion, Ohio on Facebook Marketplace. Chad Beaber said he needed a $75 fee upfront by Paypal or Venmo. I talked to him, he was a foreigner. He said it was refundable if we didn’t get the place. I asked why we had to pay before we got to see the house, but he never got back to me. We went to the home and spoke to the new owner, that’s how we learned it was a scam.
