Scam Description
The scammer (name associated with the email is “bram schlussel” with no capitalization) emailed me my own name, phone number, and address. They attached a PDF which I did not open, but was able to read part of through Gmail’s file preview, that threatened to visit my home and said that they had already placed malware on my phone from an unidentified “porn website” that made my “smartphone initiated operating as a RDP (Remote Control)” which they used to record video of me and my browsing habits.
Part of the email reads “Take a moment to chill, breathe, and analyze it thoroughly. ‘Cause we’re about to discuss a deal between you and me, and I ain’t playing games. You do not know me but I know EVERYTHING about you and you must be thinking how, correct?
Well, you’ve been treading on thin ice with your browsing habits, clicking through those girlie videos and clicking on links, stumbling upon some not-so-safe sites.”
