Scam Description
The scammer e-mailed me, saying that there was an urgent matter with my McAfee Antivirus Subscription. I did have a subscription, it is up for renewal, and the e-mail said that I would be charged $477.77 if I did not call to cancel. I immediately called the number in the email, and it was a Hawaii number, they answered professionally and believably. I almost hung up once, saying, “I don’t think I trust this call,” and the guy said, “I won’t pressure you if you want to hang up, but I assure you that I am from McAfee,” and I stayed on. He said he was going to show me where to get a form to cancel my subscription. When he tried to get me to log into this site tdcare.live with a code he was going to generate, I knew better and hung up. I called McAfee, and it was indeed a scam. I tried to provide the email but your form wouldn’t take it. It appeared like this <***********************>, but with MY NAME in front of it, and when I tried to reply to it, it was sending it to me.
