Scam Description
I have been receiving e-mails, since 2021, from MANY MANY different e-mail addresses – all saying COINBASE when opened. Some requesting payment for a PayPal Transaction. I recognized that as a scam/phishing email and did nothing except contact PayPal to verify no such pmt. In 2022, I kept getting emails to “Click” and verify my identity, then get emails saying my “account was locked”. I NEVER had a coinbase account. I got emails with attachments to open for an invoice or statement, again from various email addresses. I then received an email that my account was suspended. I thought – good – I never had one anyway. For the past year I have been receiving emails that “my account will be closed within 24 hrs’ – saying that “their team detected that I was using other people’s data to register a coinbase account”. And now, over this past 6 months, I get emails every day, either wanting me “to verify my identity” or warning that “the coinbase account will be deleted within 24 hrs” (but I continue to get the emails daily). I marked the emails as spam – but they keep coming. How can we get these annoying people to stop this malicious behavior?
