Scam Description
7/31/22 Receive an email from either Walmart or Lowes stating I could receive a free pair of earbuds for free, only pay shipping which was $7.69. Received another email from Lowes yesterday 9/12 stating I won a Dewalt Power Station.
Received earbuds, which have instructions in a language I do not understand. A charge of $125.69 was placed on my credit card.Called credit card company and they canceled the charge reporting it to their fraud department. Then received a charge of 117.69 to my credit card on 9/6/22 from Active Comp Warehouse, received a tracker watch 9/11/22 which I did not authorize(mailed back to address on packing slip).
Called phone numbers associated with companies who told me I authorized the transactions. My credit card has cancelled both charges.
