Scam Description
Someone called and said they were with Spectrum. They offered to lower my Spectrum cable bill by $80. He said his name was Eric and asked for my credit card number. I gave it to him. I asked for a confirmation number and he said we will call you back shortly.
He called me back pretending to be from the US Bank. He then asked me to verify $780 when at first he asked me for $80 dollars. I replied to him this is a scam and that’s when he hung up the phone. He also has my social security number, date of birth, cell number as well as landline number.
