Scam Description
Someone sent me an email saying they were from PayPal and I had an invoice of something I didn’t buy. They told me to enter in the amount which was “400” but then said I added an extra “0” and the only way to pay the money I now owed was to go buy gift cards. So I bought 4 “500” dollar gift cards and gave him the money. I feel so dumb but I truly thought it was an email from PayPal and I was trying to help him keep his job. I’m out 2,000 dollars. Almost all the money I had.
