Scam Description
I received a text out of the blue from phone number 978-765-2728. The message said, “Thanks for Shopping: id:#oyx64968746V for Acer-Nitro5..Amt of USD $899.99 will be charged-from your a/c. Not you? report here: 1-833-444-6755.” Obviously, I didn’t order anything and this is a scam. They also do not have good command of the English language, obviously, so I’m sure the scammers are outside the country. Capital letters in the middle of a sentence, the use of “USD” and “a/c” for “account?” I’m not fooled! Reporting this to the BBB. Thanks for your hard work educating and protecting people from so many scams!
