Scam Description
Im selling an item on Craigslist. Was contacted by a “buyer” who asked if they could send a 6digit number to me, to send back to them before they call me “for their safety”
I was unaware of this new type of scam and figured that it was some type of way to make sure im not a bot or something. So i sent the 6digit number and then immediately thought wait! This might be a scam
Googled the process and sure enough….this is a type of scam
I may have lucked out…they texted back “sorry this call number is not allow for verification. Do you have another cell number”
