Scam Description
The website initially tried to sell collections of books for an extremely low price. I bought 4 collections amounting to $32.88. I was given “confirmation” email that would update the progress of the delivery. The confirmation, however, was attached to a website under alcottgh.com. The order also doesn’t list the specific books I bought, only that it was books. I waited over a month for this package to arrive and when I saw the update that it had been delivered, I reached out to the customer care email. The delivery time and date was issued before either had happen, so they said the delivery was done on 9/22 at 2:30 PM. However, this update was issued on 9/21 at 10:45 AM. They told me to check with my post office with a tracking number AS845086253CN which was invalid. Told me to ask my neighbors if they had received it accidentally. They did not since I checked the neighborhood Facebook page. Then told me the package should be small which meant it was probably overlooked which I countered with the argument that I order about 10 books so it shouldn’t have been small. Their next excuse was to tell me they sent the wrong package which was 3D Polarized Sunglasses. I asked them to return my money and was told that I need to find the package and they’ve lost a lot of money. That has absolutely nothing to do with me.
