Scam Description
Tried purchasing a vehicle off of Facebook marketplace, We worked out a deal for his asking price etc etc etc, Talked on the phone and was texting and he seemed very nice, He is located in Valdosta Georgia with the vehicle according to him, I am from Wisconsin, We both have iPhones with iMessage so it seemed ok, He needed $400 down to meet me halfway with the vehicle, We agreed on a time and place to meet, I send him the money down on applepay because that’s all he says he has set up. He then sends me a picture of the title, It comes back to a diffrent truck that was sold down in Florida 2 months ago, So he has a old stolen title with a forged signature. I called him back and we were on the phone and I explained what happened and that I wasn’t interested and would like my money back, he agreed to send me my money back because he didn’t know anything about that, He’s trying to send my payment back but it’s not working he says, Would call me back in 5 minutes…. That’s the last time I talked to him on the phone, I have text message proof saying he was still working on sending it back and needed to call the bank etc, All the next day goes by and nothing, I reached out to applepay and opened the dispute, they denied it. I have since found other information online about him doing the same things! He needs to be stopped and I would like my money back if possible.
