Scam Description
Site was exact duplicate of actual Book Grocer site with the exception of “sale” prices and “bundled package deals”. Even offered free shipping once a certain $ amount was achieved. If credit card hadn’t flagged transaction I would have not been aware until much later. Only red flag was the amount was different than actual bill. Total was $79, card was charged $92.45. Original website has been taken down but just received email from them that sent me to the second site – I went there just so I could send the info to BBB. Credit card will try to stop payment but it may be too late. I’m now seeing warnings on Facebook from authentic Book Grocer about fake ads/links.
