Scam Description
“Erick Taz Amico” provides and adoption service for Scottish, West Highland, and Cairn terriers. He sent out applications via pdf wnt all pertinent info of name, address, email and such. plus contact for land lord or bank contact for “verification” of payment transfer ability. The provider email or text at odd hrs of day, times that aren’t realistic for someone that lives in the same Time Zone. This morning, he wanted me to Venmo him $350 as a non-refundable security deposit then another $300 before making the dog available to view. Provider (Erick) would not give me his phone # nore any reference contacts for a follow-up. I refused andas I wouldn’t send him any money upfront. Site, plus 3 othere’s were taken down moments later. I contacted my bank incase he asked for a money transfer as well as the property manager in the event they wanted info as to how I transfered monthly payments.
