Scam Description
My wife went to a hotel website to reserve a room. She was redirected to reseervationcounter.com. Upon entering her card info to secure the room, the site had a glitch and appeared to her to not have completed the transaction. She reentered her information to make sure we had a reservation. She was charged for two rooms and assigned two reservation numbers. She called the hotel, and later spoke to the manager in person who said that due to having been scheduled through a third party, he could do nothing. We called reservationcounter.com and attempted to explain what happened. We needed only one, NOT TWO rooms. A representative of the company kept trying to “overtalk” me when I called to resolve the matter. He later hung up on me. Reservationcounter.com is a scam.
