Scam Description

Garden Roses LLC accepted thousands of pre-orders for discontinued difficult to find roses, particularly from David Austin English off patent/discontinued roses. The accepted pre-orders were placed in 2023 through the present (they continue to take orders) and due to ship from spring of 2024. As the stated shipping time passed they began to bait and switch–we were told that they’d lost many of the roses due to ship, that they’d refund orders (which few people found was the case) and then that they couldn’t refund the orders due to the number of charge backs that had been initiated as their scam came to light. As this went on, they ceased to answer emails (and we do not have a phone # for them–only the web site and emails). Nate and Tess Fisher run this business and have already been prosecuted successfully in multiple prior scams (elder care scam, but this did not come to light until well into the current scam. Nate received initial positive comments about his rose growing credentials. However, it has sense become apparent that he took, for example, thousands more pre-orders for particular rose varieties than he could possibly have been able to fulfill and that he didn’t have any of the product promised to his customers. He only confessed to this when some on the rose vendor feedback facebook page and his company page called out the scam. Even now, this is an ever shifting bait and switch operation and apparent that he knew that he would never be able to fulfill the promised orders.
