Scam Description
I went through a website legit Virginia inmate care packages.com, I paid through my cash app which was indicated by a text message by this person or company that was portraying themselves to be legit not knowing so paid the money. And when I found out about the scam was when I actually Googled for a customer service phone number and got the legit one and the person that I spoke to on the phone helping me make my order for an inmate package had told me that this has not been the first time that she had heard of this happening and it had been happening since last month September 2022. The lady that I had spoken to that had told me about this had also told me that it was told to her that the website portraying themselves to look like legit actually really looks legit and anybody will not know the difference until it’s too late. I have reported this through the cash app customer service. I have lost that money they say that they are still looking into it I’m still waiting for that confirmation email from the manager and the team that is involved and doing the investigating on this matter.
