Scam Description
I hired Drop Technologies – a company that advertises itself for getting music of artists placed on Spotify playlists to get more exposure. Initially I paid for a one-song campaign and garnered a few thousand streams. I was impressed and so I paid for a 6-song campaign. With the first few songs I was getting relatively good action as well. But once it was time for the third campaign, the performance my music was not so great anymore. When I began to write Drop about it, they answered my emails less and less. Now I have heard nothing from them at all during the most crucial period of my album release and the release of three of my latest singles (all of which I was expecting Drop to pitch for me and to continue to get me more exposure). They have been radio silent for weeks with regard to my repeated emails and I already paid them hundreds of dollars.
