Scam Description
Saw an ad on Facebook in December for dog piggy banks. Looked up the website to verify that it actually existed. Ordered 6 banks on the wesite. Offered payments through Klarna, so opted for this option after verifying that it was a legitimate company. . Entered my name, address, phone and email on both the order site, and on Klarna. Gave Klarna my debit card number for payments. They took out payments of $40.48 on December 11, 2022, December 25, 2022, January 22, 2023, and $40.49 on January 8, 2023. I did not receive the banks in December , and assumed that they would ship after all payments were made. February was busy for me, and I forgot all about it. March is my grandson’s birthday, and I thought I might get them in time to give him one. I tried to contact the company online, and the email was returned as undeliverable. I tried the phone number, and it did not work. I looked up the payments on my bank account, and they went to “JBthaGreat”, not to Kidspiggybank.com. I have contacted my bank, who is investigating, and Klarna, who says I have to wait 21 days until they will open an investigation and told me I need to contact the store. I repeatedly told Klarna that the store does not exist. I tried to contact JBthaGreat, and he has MANY businesses and online sites, but is unreachable. I attempted a chat on one, and got nothing. He has my money, and I want it back.
