Scam Description

We were looking to purchase a pet (French Bulldog). Sent an inquiry about the bulldog via the website and received an immediate response via email. It seemed legit natural business correspondence. They had asked for funds via Zelle and we told them we didn’t have Zelle, but we could do PayPal. They asked us to send the funds via “Family and friends”. That was our first red flag. As a business you don’t use family and friends because your customers can’t dispute the transaction. Then we sent an email requesting to have a zoom meeting or FaceTime meeting so we can see the dog prior to any sending any payment. We did not hear from them all day which I knew was odd because they had been very responsive. We sent a follow up email and received no response. We have cutoff all communication with them.
