Scam Description
The scammer was selling maltipoo puppies. I did research so if I could find any sources that would help me determine if this was a scam or not. Since it was a small family business there was nothing found online. I called the person and they spoke with an accent even though the picture of their child online was Caucasian. The person said it was their child. They sent tons of photos a s videos that I could not find online so again, made it hard to tell if it was a scam or not. They sent a contract over that looked legit. I even consulted a lawyer to look it over and they said it looked legit. These people k ow exactly what they are doing. They make sure they do all they can to get you. I even asked to FaceTime and they said they couldn’t due to some issues they have had in the past? Since I couldn’t find anything regarding a scam, I went through and paid for the puppy. 950$. This included shipping to my house. The day they were supposed to ship the dog the reached out to update the crate. They wanted us to pay by zelle. Which I did on the first payment. That was my first time using zelle so I didn’t realize alot of scammers used that app. Once they wanted more money, I knew it was a scam and said no. I think called my bank but now they cqn not assist me so I lost money. Their contract said if I didn’t have the dog in 2 business days, I would get a refund but since this is a scam, i know that contract is not legit. Please beware!!!
