Scam Description

The Flights Podium web site posts very attractive airfares. However once a person pays online for a ticket they receive an email that starts with “Your Booking is Pending with booking reference number :****************** Please call our Customer care number +1-888-559-4845 so that one of our expert can assist you immediately.” Once a person calls the provided phone number they are immediately told that the airline in question ran out of basic airfare and they have to pay much more over the phone. A funny thing is that when I suggested that the airline web site posts higher prices I was asked by a Flights podium representative why I had purchased a ticket with them if I knew a real price and then the representative hang up on me.
There are numerous reports online that Flights Podium uses this tactic a lot.
