Scam Description
The scammer was claiming to sell Russian Blue (hypoallergenic kittens) out of Manchester NH. They had a contact page on their website called “PREMIUM GREY SKY HYPOALLERGENIC RUSSIAN BLUE KITTENS” that had you submit your contact information and a message about the cat you wanted to adopt. They contacted me via texting first and pretended to interview me for an adoption. They sent a video to my email of the kitten in question (supposedly) with audio of them referring the name of the kitten I inquired after and my own name, upon request. The (likely fake) names of the people involved were “Rashilda” “Nathaniel Page” and “Alexis Samuel”. They followed up the initial scam with a shipping scam where the “shipping company” contacted me by phone and email requesting money that “would be refunded upon delivery” for an up to standard cat carrier, insurance, and vaccination + microchip fees. They requested payment in the form of Zelle, Paypal friends and family, and later gift cards. The phone number they initially contacted me with was 530 384 5564 and the shipping company used 321 710 5709 and the email thecourierguyz101@gmail.com. The shipping company also gave the name “Robin Perkins” and the email Petepetek60@gmail.com.
