Scam Description
I had just been taken by a person a friend recommended to do my roof (Josh) . I was in Home Depot looking to buy traps and was approached by a man (Gerald) asking if I needed help. He handed me a door flyer, I told him my story and in offered to take a look. Once he came to the house and saw out bad the guy left my roof. He offered to fix it for the remaining amount I owe the other guy $4000.00, he got 1500.00 that day. He bought a group of people and started the process and closed the roof. A few days later him and his team show up a few days later to finish and he took the tools I had purchased and materials from Josh. Told me that he would be back on Monday to do the shingles, could I pay him the remaining $2500.00 to pay his workers. That was on April 22, 2022, Gerald has not answered my calls, text messages or Face book messages.
