Scam Description
My neighbour and I were approached door to door by a company called Ridgestone to do maintenance of our interlock driveways and interlocked pathway/patio in the backyard. They were supposed to power wash, seal and place new polymeric sand back down. We both agreed to do this for our interlocking. They did not do what they were supposed to – they did power wash but they didn’t do the sealing and also they didn’t use polymeric sand – it looks like normal beach sand and it washed ALL away after the first rain. So now the interlock has nothing around it, some areas completely bare. When calling them several times afterwards to complain about the job – they would set a time/date to fix but then wouldn’t show up. Now they are no longer answering their phone. My neighbor and I had the same experience and have both filed police reports. Please beware.
They also said as part of their sales pitch that they were doing other driveways in the area. They offered a lower than average price for the service.
