Scam Description
Offered free knee or back brace paid for by Medicare. Required my Medicare # and address. Sweet talking young women with foreign accents, consoling and scamming me, a 79 year old woman with knee pain. I stupidly gave my number and realized all too soon that this was a scam. If knee brace pkg. arrives via UPS, I will refuse the delivery and get the address from which it came. I will monitor my Medicare statements. I have reported all info to Medicare, the FTC, and HHS OIG Hotline. I hope to not lose any money, but I fear my personal identity is definitely in jeopardy.
