Scam Description
I received a phone call from “Doctors Billing” (New Jersey number) 2 or 3 weeks ago. It was an automated message saying my name and amount owed for a medical bill. I tried to call that number to verify but phone calls were not allowed. Then I received a bill in the mail last week that said “Claim Summary” (did not look like a bill statement)). I called the phone number for billing listed on the summary and it was a “Hospital in Maine”. I called my local office and “MEDICARE” and everyone says ‘IT IS A SCAM! I havent had a medical bill in the mail in seven years. I have 3 health insurances to cover everything. Everyone said ‘NOT TO PAY THIS SO CALLED BILL”.
