Scam Description
I received a telephone call from an individual who said he was calling because new Medicare Health Insurance cards were being issued and that I must give him my Medicare Number to assure him that my new card was being sent to the right person. Suspecting a scam, I told him to read me the Medicare Number that he had in front of him, the one he was supposed to compare my Medicare Number to, but he had no such number and hung up abruptly.
