Scam Description
A friend on Facebook sent me a message about a government payment to retired people , etc. She told that she got a $100,000 grant and gave me information about where to apply. A link to James Jones was provided. I entered to link and was asked how much money I wanted. I said $50,000. Was then informed I can get the government money but would have to pay fees of $1300.00. My Facebook friend said I should do it. I did it . And James jones asked for more money for fees. At this I began to feel this was a scam. I also found out that my friend’s Facebook was taken over by James Jones. Subsequently I blocked the scammers account. I was taken for$1300.00
