Scam Description
After I left a bag in a yellow cab, and didn’t get a receipt or note the hack number, so I looked up “how to find a bag left in a taxi” and the website “nycyellowcabs.com” came up. So I filled out the form. After I filled out a form describing the time and description of lost items, I was asked to pay $19.99. I was distraught, so I just paid. Only later, I realized this must be a scam. When I spoke with someone at 311, I was told Lost and Found does not cost money.
