Scam Description
On August 4, 2024 I received a certified letter from Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department stating that on 3/14/2023 expenses were incurred by Miami Dade Water and Sewer to repair and restore service to a damaged 2-inch water service at 6202 NW 116th Ave. The damage was to have been caused by a representative of our company. Then we received an invoice by regular mail on September 18, 2024 for $3,789.
Our company is located 200 miles away in Pinellas County, FL and has no presence or employees in Miami-Dade County. The letters are clearly fraudulent with misspellings and fake info. The letter head appears authentic.
