Scam Description
Scam invoiced my paypal account with name Alan Wakefield for Walmart e-gift card purchase in the amount of $660.00. Received email regarding invoice from service.paypal.com informing me of the invoice. Email and invoice provides phone number 888-422-0671 to contact regarding illegal transaction. I assumed the phone number was paypal customer service however it was the scammers. Number did not initially work, but tried again letter and spoke to Asian man with attitude. He wanted me to use my laptop and provided me with email address bmhelp.us to start refund process. When got to web address it asked for a secure 5-digit code which the Asian man provided. Then a download server came up. At that point, I ended the call without further questions and closed my browser. Once ending the call I received several calls back to back from unknown out of state numbers. I blocked the numbers and deleted them from my phone.
