Scam Description
Erin Keller, approached me via Facebook Messenger, as a member of specific group. She offered me to be compensated to be a part of a art exhibit at the Columbus Museum of Art at The Pizzuti. I was hesitant at first, but I was given details and assured that we would communicate throughout the event. This individual contacted me within one day requesting my name and address in order to receive payment for an e- check. I noted her demeanor quickly changed to quite insistent that I cash “e-check” asap. Both US Bank from which the check was written and my personal bank would not even address the issue and urged me to seek a different form of payment. After I confronted her again, she was quite insistent that I deposit the money asap. She insinuated I was wrong for not following directions. Please beware of Erin Keller, self- proclaimed artist… I fear she is a con artist vs a painter.
