Scam Description
These, D. Wallace Smith, Elaine Bennett, Lori Benson (so far) are posting “Jobs” as a “Legal Specialist” and “Digital Specialist” using the headline “IMMEDIATE HIRING: $1,000.00, $2,500.00 or $5,000.00 Cash Sign-up Bonus”. They require you to purchase a LegalShield membership, legal plan. LegalShield is a valid company and not in anyway affiliated with “American Law Firms” and this company does not have authorization to promote or offer LegalShield as part of their other services/jobs. They are luring legitimate Independent LegalShield Associates to “partner” with them, so they get the commissions for the membership sale, by sending out their LegalShield website signup link. Then they get a percentage of the commission. However, the Indepndent Associate is the one taking the risk because when they find out its a scam, the membership will cancel and the Associate has to pay it all back. These people keep their part and the LS Associate is just out of luck. These people are not Associates themselves. They require you keep the plan for 28 days or they will not pay you for “training”. Please know, to date, no one has ever gotten paid from them. People continue to contact LegalShield corporate, where they are told the truth it. It is important to know, you can cancel the LegalShield membership at ANY time.
