Scam Description

My friend on Facebook reposted a post her friend had posted that was recruiting more people for a company called Cybereason and saying that you could make up to $20/hr part time and $30/hr full time. So I commented on my friend’s post and she sent me a Telegram link to talk to the hiring manager. S/he asked some normal questions that jobs usually ask like email, name, DOB, etc. Then they sent me a check for $1.5K and s/he said its to cover the shipment and installments of software that the laptop would need to do the job. S/he wanted me to send $500, through Zelle, to a Carl Gross, at first since they said we needed to send $500 to the person in charge of our county. Then they sent me a different person, Mark Arnett. After I sent the first $500, they told me to send him another $500 for the 2nd installation fee so that they could ship it that day, but I told them the other $1000 of the check wouldnt be fully in my account until Tuesday. Tuesday morning I found out that my account was on hold until 7/16/22, but since thats a weekend, my account wouldnt be open until Monday 7/18/22. Last night I got an email saying that the check got returned to Cybereason which caused my checkings account to go down to $140.61. Then this morning around 2:30am I got another email saying another $1.5K got withdrawn, so now I have -$1355.62 and before this all happened I had $800 something in my checkings account and $169 in my savings account.
