Scam Description
Offered a position with a production company as a personal assistant. They missed the payroll date. I offered to have them pay by cc. They advised the rental department had some camera equipment to run cards for the weekend and provided card info. I ran the card and a customer disputed. I asked them if it would be an issue since the charge wasn’t coming from them and they said no that they outsource all the time with equipment and their clients were made aware. I charged a total of 2600 and sent them a wire for 550 minus the funds owed to me. client disputed the charges and now I am negative in my bank account. Company advised Monday 10/21 that funds would arrive in my account today 10/23 and they have not and i am overdrawn now
