Scam Description
I was contacted by an HR manager “Mark Broadway” inviting me to apply for a remote retoucher job at Save the Duck. I had to contact another person “Jana Strawn” via the messaging app Wire. After a seemingly normal screening chat, the next day I got a job offer and some paperwork requiring my personal banking information and passport/ID. All the paperwork looked pretty legit, correct logos and colors. In my field you usually don’t get hired on the spot like that, you need to do a retouching test and you meet your team – none of this happened and when asking about it I got vague and secretive answers. Also, I couldn’t find the job posting online or any of them on LinkedIn. This alleged HR manager called me after sending me the offer email from a cell number in Oregon, sounding high af.
