Scam Description
I had applied to a job on Indeed. I was replied to the job via the Indeed website. They requested I email them my resume which I had. They then kept the conversation in email for a bit then moved to text. We had texted a bit about the job and duties which was to be a remote office assistant type of job at first. This included making appointments and arrangements. They then sent me a check to deposit and then send the money to another account. I was skeptical at first but agreed. The check looked legitimate and had all of the security features were present. I had deposited the check in my bank and waited until it showed it was cleared. They had then instructed me to transfer the money to another bank account. Now the check went to a hold and the person is no longer replying to me and their email address bounces back as undeliverable.
