Scam Description
While I cannot confirm the validity of the business, I can confirm my interactions with the representatives reads as suspicious. I was contacted, by text, and told I would be being considered for a position at Alveolus (Data Entry/ Work from Home). After my interview, conducted over the Signal app, I was told that the position would be mine and that I would be receiving a check, from the company, for the purchase of equipment. That check, I believe is fake, and would bounce, leaving the victim with a debt for the amount of the check, and the scammer would make off with the victims identifying information (in my case SSN and Driver’s License). Attached below are my interactions with the representatives.
