Scam Description

I applied to a job for a data entry operator on Indeed. I received an email asking me to download Chatwork for an interview. The person “interviewing” me called themself Nate Richards. They started the conversation giving vague details about the job that seem copy and pasted followed by basic job “skills” the applicant should have like “oral communication.” They then asked me to type my name, email, phone number, and address in the chat which I did. They sent me a Google docs link and told me to answer the questions. Most were interview-like questions. At the end it asked me to give my credit card number so they could run a background check but they reassured I wouldn’t be charged for anything. I didn’t feel comfortable giving my credit card information so I submitted the form with that section blank. They told me I was qualified and they hired me on the spot and asked me to be back on the app at 8 am the next morning for my next tasks. They told me they would email me more paperwork to complete. I got on at 8 am and sent them a question mark just to see what they would say. They did not reply until 8:22 AM asking me if I received that paperwork. I’m assuming it’s just another attempt to collect personal information. I won’t give them anything else and plan on changing my email password just in case.
