Scam Description
I received a text from a recruiter and asked to sign on to Skype. The interview immediately took place and was done by John Anderson. I was hired on the spot and asked to return to Skype at 8am my time to get instructions and an e-check. Once I received the e-check and deposited it. I was asked how much I could come up with to purchase the software. At this point I knew it was a scam. Everyone had a gmail address and not from the company which was a huge red flag. I was never asked to fill out an application or W-2 to get paid. If someone is will to pay you $40/hr. it’s to good to be true, which it was.
