Scam Description
There were several emails that had Cognizant HR team member of Cognizant. The positions I responded to was through Ziprecruiter. The emails it came from are:
hrservices@cognizant-us.com – which when I reply now, it was returned with, “Your message wasn’t delivered to hrservices@cognizant-us.com because the domain cognizant-us.com couldn’t be found”, when previously, there were responses.
hr.ctsacquisiton@gmail.com is another email address that was used.
The email had a list of positions offered and is asked to go through an interview through Microsoft Teams. During the interview, asked for a screen shot of my face during the interview process, and even a voice recording of one of my answers. I thought this was in order to authenticate me. The person stated that I did very well and that there would be an appointment the next day. He stated that I will receive an offer and emailed me. The offer letter has telltale signs of being fake and used the VP of Recruiting’s signature. ‘He made excuses as to why, statement of, “Yes correct, that’s the email we make use of in the hiring process and as soon as you join the company and receive your working materials you will have the company email reason is because we only share company information among the employees and not others. We do this because of the safety of others so they won’t copy the company email for phishing use. Do you understand?” And then the responses from that individual seems to be irritated with exclamation marks because of my suspicion, he denied that it’s a fake offer letter. Then blamed me for having suspicions, and had tried to pressure me into filling out the forms. This has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience.
