Scam Description
I received a job offer for a data entry clerk with what seemed like a legitimate offer letter. They also sent a check for $1900 that was supposed to be for office equipment but asked that I sent it to their “vendor” through cash app as bitcoin. Everything up until that point seemed legitimate and they created an employee portal and used the telegram app to communicate. The bitcoin request lead me to investigate further and saw similar stories to mine.
