Scam Description
I applied to a job listing online, sending in my resume. I was contacted via email. The person that sent me the email told me that my interview would take place via Skype. So I did. After extensive interview questions, they proceeded to tell me what I would get paid, the benefits and the software that would be needed. THEN it came.. they would be sending a check for me to purchase said software. It all seemed legit until then. After I saw that, I searched for the email domain. I tried to contact the company for their hiring process. They never asked for bank account numbers, just an address to send the documents. And said that HR would be following up through email. The email domain that was went was not Codexis. Which it should have been. It was just a simple Gmail account.
