Scam Description
I received a text about a job I had supposedly applied for. I had recently applied for several similar jobs so I couldn’t remember if this was one of them. They conducted an interview over the Signal app (which was a red flag). It is a real company and the explanation seemed legit but it’s something that could be easily cut and pasted from their website. I knew something was up when they said they were going to mail me a check to buy equipment to work on. I googled and saw this is a common scam and I stopped corresponding with the person I was chatting with.
